Born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland, Hugh Noble passed away peacefully but much too soon at the age of 62. He is survived by his wife Ann of 40 years; loving sons Ivan and Adam; brother Dave; and devoted Papa to Taylor and Megan. Hugh will be remembered by family and friends as an inspiration who gave hope and love to many. Hugh and Ann also gave significantly to the national design community, setting up the GDC National office in Ottawa in 1994-95 that thrives today because of their work and dedication.
The family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers to Angel Flight of British Columbia - PO Box 2623, Sidney, BC V8L 4C1 or www.angelflight.ca. Hugh's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Victoria Cancer Clinic. They would also like to thank the caring ICU staff of Vancouver and Victoria General Hospitals, and the Royal Jubilee Hospice.
On a personal note, I had the opportunity to get to know Hugh over the last couple of years due to his failing health. He was a wonderful man and I enjoyed our conversations. He was a passionate designer and couldn't wait to settle in to his new studio and design again. Hugh will be very missed by the GDC community both locally and nationally.
