Aaron Heppell, May 31, 2011 at 2:24 PM

Trina M’Lot is a graphic designer and second-year student at Vancouver Island University, working towards completing her Graphic Design degree in April of 2013. With the completion of her first year of studies, Trina was awarded a VIU Art and Design Award of Excellence and named to the 2010
VIU Dean’s List. Previous to her graphic design education in Nanaimo, Trina attended the University of Victoria where she studied a year of visual arts.

Outside of the school term, Trina resides in Pender Harbour, a refreshing coastal community from which she collects her inspiration. Through observing the daily notions of people and the environment, Trina hopes to intertwine her collection of perspectives with the functionality and purposefulness of
design. Visual communication design holds a silent, unwavering power in society. It is through this medium that Trina will fulfill her desire to bring about positive change. Beyond graphic design, the adventures waiting in the great outdoors fill Trina’s days. She also enjoys reading, playing the
piano, running, and photography. Her goals in the near future consist of living on the ocean where she will create powerful, ethical and influential designs to make a difference in the life of another.
