Welcome To The Family!
Jeope Wolfe, March 13, 2012 at 9:21 PM

A joyous occasion! Like bears emerging from their dens in spring with cubs in tow, GDC Manitoba emerges from the winter touting three bouncing brand-new CGD members! Please welcome to the clan our trio of proud Certified Graphic Designers.

Cory Clow is a tenacious designer whose start in the industry began in 1999. A graduate of Red River College’s two-year graphic design program, his career has ranged from print, publication design, digitally painting comic books, animation and FX, illustration and interactive design. His experiences have led him to work as an in-house designer, design in large and small agencies, as well as contract work. Presently working full-time for interactive studio Tactica, Cory balances interactive design with a passion for traditional illustration, freelance illustration and print design.

Amanda Hoplock is a key part of Investors Group’s talented in-house design team. She started with IG in 2000 as a junior designer and since 2007 has filled the role of senior designer, working on a wide variety of projects. Amanda is also a skilled event photographer, and will often take event photos that she later uses in her work.

Matt McClay is a graphic designer based but (obviously) not limited to Winnipeg. He brings to the table a love for the craft, a passion for the process and over a decade of marketing and communications experience. He believes building strong client relationships produces the best results. With an intuitive eye for design and attention to detail, Matt is dedicated to raising the bar on excellence. He is a constant learner and always up for another challenge.

Welcome Matt, Amanda and Cory — and congratulations!

GDC Manitoba holds semi-regular portfolio reviews each year; details on reviews are announced well in advance of submission deadlines here, on our chapter page and social media feeds.
