Imagine being able to give grants for design research and special projects.

Imagine being able to give scholarships for students and professionals.

Imagine being able to assist designers in crisis through a benevolent fund.

That is what the GDC Foundation is imagining as well.

Our goal for 2011 was to raise the Foundation's seed capital to $20,000 from our spring total of $13, 500.00.  At December 31, 2011, our total in the Foundation is $19,527. This is the highest annual total yet, with the greatest number of donors!

The Foundation received more donations in 2011 than in any previous year and raised $4,475.00 which, along with the $3,692.40 donation from the national at the 2011 AGM, brought the amount raised for the year to $8,167.40.

The Fellows’ Challenge raised $1,950, an increase of $600 from the previous year. This is the first year that individual CGD and provisional members have contributed to the fund ($1,345). Four individual GDC Chapters made contributions to a total of $880.
