That's right, CAPIC is hosting an alternative to Stampede Parties during Stampede. There aren't any bales of hay, no cowboy hats required, and no shooter girls. They're repeating last year's fantastic event, Not Another %#*! Stampede Party.
It's a BBQ and not-so-friendly competition featuring Wii and PS3 on a 20 foot screen - free burgers - $3 beer/wine. There might even be a frisbee. The GDC has been invited to this event so come out to mingle with them, who knows, maybe you'll strike up a creative collaboration.
