
The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC) is Canada’s national graphic design association. It is a member-based organization of design professionals, educators, administrators, students, and associates in communications, marketing, media and design-related fields.
Our next review will be held on April 18, 2008. The deadline for submission is April 18, 2008 at 5:00 pm.
You are interested in being a member? Below are the seven steps to joining the GDC’s Arctic Chapter.
Step 1:
What type of membership should you apply for? Professional Member (MGDC) $250, Licentiate Membership (LGDC) $185, Associate Member $130, Graduate Member $60 or Student Member $35. See MEMBERSHIP description for more information on types of membership.
Step 2:
Fill out your Membership application form. Ensure all necessary information is filled out.
Step 3:
Put together your portfolio if required. See the MEMBERSHIP FORM descriptions for requirements on portfolio submission. This varies on type of membership. Also see the PORTFOLIO FORM for full instructions on portfolio submissions.
Step 4:
Fill out the portfolio submission descriptions. See the PORTFOLIO FORM for full instructions on portfolio submissions. Properly mounted and presented portfolios required or well presented digital.
Step 5:
Submit membership form and portfolio. Submit all required portfolio and documents to:

Step 6:
Your portfolio goes to a review board for review. The application and portfolio will be reviewed by a portfolio review board.
Step 7:
You will be contacted by the VP Membership with the results.
