Time to rock! Staying enthusiastic about your art and design is not entirely about finding new clients, nor is it about the changing industry.

We need inspiration, entertainment, progression, a solid bridge between conceptual and technical, and a positive outlook on our place in the design universe.

What matters when searching for your creative voice? This presentation will deal with all of these points wrapped into personal stories, art examples, case studies, the importance of self-investment and a solid dose of nostalgic inspiration mixed with rock n' roll.

James will also present the lessons learned from running his Signalnoise Design Studio for the past 5 years and how he went about creating his name in the design industry, which started 30 years ago at the age of 4.

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit.

About the Speaker

James White is a visual artist and designer living in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is the owner of Signalnoise Studio which serves as his design company, blog, and online store. James is also host of the Signalnoise Broadcast, a live online art & design show every Thursday at 3pm EST.

With 13 years of experience, James' personal projects have led to working with clients such as Toyota, Nike, Google, VH1, Wired Magazine, Universal Music, Diesel etc. and he was featured in DT Platinum magazine in their '21 People of the Century' article.

James likes Photoshop, Illustrator, comic books, toys and heavy metal.
