The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada - British Columbia Chapter welcomes you to its annual Annual General Meeting (AGM) and New Year Social. GDC/BC members, students, sponsors, members of the business community, friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the society’s achievements over the past year. In addition to live music, DJ, catered food and a cash bar, the AGM is an opportunity for GDC/BC to inform members and sponsors of previous and future activities and accomplishments. Admission is FREE along with a cash or food donation for the Vancouver Food Bank.

February 21, 2008After waiting for a long time, the results are finally here! The 2007/2008 RGD Ontario/Aquent National Survey of Graphic Design Salaries & Billing Practices is now available for download. This survey was conducted by RGD Ontario and its partner AQUENT, in cooperation with the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC) and the Société des designers graphiques du Québec (SDGQ).
This is the fourth time a survey of this nature has been conducted in Canada by this Association and even though the results are not to be viewed as a nationally representative statistical sample of all graphic design professionals, it does provide a current reflection of what some in the design profession are currently earning.

I had a blast at this AGM - loved the multimedia show, music, conversations - and a fun cultural venue to boot. Very lively (as you can tell by the photos as well!) and a great way to meet new folks. Well done guys.

I volunteered at the GDC Social for my first time as a member. I absolutely loved the environment and the chance to meet 'n greet people within the industry. Everyone was quite welcoming and willing to chat. I can't wait until the next event! What a great opportunity!

Hey gang. Anyone know how I can get a printed copy of the 2006 & 2007 GDC BC Annual Reports? The last one I received in the mail was Marian's translucent one for 2005. Looking forward to hearing from someone....thanks!
