How to surpass the magazine’s expectations.
Identify what photo editors are looking for and what they have come to expect.
Discuss magazine fees, promotional material and invoicing.

The intimate portrait (empowering the artist within)

Workshop 1

The art of portrait photography is the ability to listen, observe and connect with the
subject. Whether your goal is a formal portrait or capturing the moment, this workshop will help you create more powerful and meaningful images. This weekend is designed for photographers who would like to improve their communication skills with their subjects.
Through various exercises, you will start to develop the necessary awareness and
sensitivity to move beyond literal renderings to more intimate portraits. You will
discover effective methods of putting people at ease while finding skills to build your
confidence. This is an insightful weekend of having fun while challenging yourself
to move beyond where you think you could go in your portrait work.
