PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC) established the Professional (MGDC & LGDC) membership categories to recognize members who have invested valuable time in training and who have gained a recognized level of competence in graphic design through practical experience. Being awarded the MGDC designation and wearing the silver lapel pin signals to clients, the business community and the public that you are a recognized and practicing graphic designer with over five years of experience. Graphic designers with up to five years of experience can apply for Licentiate membership and can use the LGDC designation. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Acceptance into the MGDC or LGDC membership categories requires a confidential review of your work by the GDC Vancouver Island (GDC-VI) Standards Officers.
