This fall take a road trip to beautiful Nisswa, Minnesota, and set up tent (figuratively) at Grand View Lodge for a weekend of Design Camp. Let's put together a Manitoba contingent that will show those Yanks what Canucks are made of (bones, guts, s'mores, beer and highly conceptual design strategies).

This year's GDC National AGM is being held at the Delta Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
This week GDC executives from across the country will be uniting in Saskatoon for our National Annual General Meeting. Since this one is so close to home Manitoba extended the offer to attend from our usual two reps to the entire executive. We are allowed 3 participating delegates myself, Oliver and Adrian. We will also have the pleasure of Raelene and Jessica's company, who will be coming to observe.
At the crack of dawn on April 24th we will pile into a van and head North West. Road trip playlists in hand and thumbs ready for DS tournaments, we will burn up the highway as we get ready to dive into our weekend of design and drinks.
The weekend is a valuable motivator for overworked volunteers, as well as a step towards successful succession planning. Plus it's a great party. I doubt Saskatoon will disappoint!
Manitoba's design community lost a great friend with the passing of Red River College instructor Bruce Gillespie.
