AIGA Design Camp
2008-08-25
Just another benefit of membership: AIGA member discounts for events!

This fall take a road trip to beautiful Nisswa, Minnesota, and set up tent (figuratively) at Grand View Lodge for a weekend of Design Camp. Let's put together a Manitoba contingent that will show those Yanks what Canucks are made of (bones, guts, s'mores, beer and highly conceptual design strategies).

Gather with 300 designers, students, educators and business partners in the great north (south, for us) woods to undo your standard conventions and change your attitude. Come for inspiration, collaboration and to hone your skills at Design Camp® in beautiful Nisswa, Minnesota.

Intriguing activities, hands-on workshops, and transformative change are coming to the woods. Be a part of the change, join the AIGA Minnesota for Design Camp® 2008!

This year's speakers include:

Brian Collins (COLLINS)
Brian Collins is Chairman and Creative Director of COLLINS, a brand innovation and transformation design company. COLLINS recently created the identity and overall design program for Al Gore's "We" Campaign, a project of The Alliance for Climate Protection. While working as a Chief Creative Officer at Ogilvy & Mather, Collins' team produced an international traveling photo exhibit on beauty for Dove,
leading to the launch of the "Campaign for Real Beauty."

Jesse Seppi and Vivian Rosenthal (Tronic Studios)
Tronic is a NYC-based multimedia studio that creates work that moves between film, animation, architecture, and experiential design. Some of their clients include Nike, Diesel, Sharp, and Wired.

Chase (The Art of Chase)
Chase's inspirational, soul-searching work spans over several disciplines, including street art, original paintings, and graphic and fashion design. His clients have included Puma, Levi's and Scion.
