The 2008 GDC Manitoba Annual General Meeting is now behind us, and the chapter would like to take this moment to thank everyone who showed at the Park Theatre to partake, mingle, win prizes, view the Graphex 2008 traveling exhibit and meet their new, freshly-elected executive representatives (a teaser appearance by Blue Sky '09 conference head Steven Bamburak only sweetened the pot). Briefly though, your local chapter needs will be met admirably in the months to come by Ed Brajczuk, Oliver Oike, Jessica Phillips, Adrian J.K. Shum and Jeope Wolfe – along with much-welcomed new fish Andrew Boardman and Scott Gillam. We look forward to serving you.

Proving that it's better to fade away than to burn out, the AGM marked the departures of chapter secretary Colette Boisvert, chapter education chair Raelene Hanna and – le sigh – long-time GDC fixture and chapter presidentress Karla Burr. Warm applause filled the theatre for jobs well done by all.
