GDCMB Portfolio Review for Membership Upgrades
Jeope Wolfe, May 01, 2009 at 7:41 AM

There are two parts to the portfolio review process: an optional – and highly recommended – Portfolio Submission Workshop, and the actual Portfolio Review.

Part 1: Portfolio Submission Workshop (optional)

Portfolio preparation is not always an easy process. Many candidates prefer to prepare their portfolios on their own, but for those who would like some guidelines and a bit of mentoring, GDC Manitoba is having a portfolio workshop on Saturday May 9, 2009. The session will be held from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a lunch break (drinks and snacks will be provided, but please BYOL).

Please also bring samples of your work (loose samples are fine), as during the last part of the workshop MGDC members will be on hand for questions and feedback regarding your possible submissions.

We will let you know of the workshop location once final numbers are confirmed. But let us know if you’re interested in attending by no later than Wednesday May 6, 2009.

Part 2: Upgrading Your Current GDC Membership to LGDC or MGDC

Acceptance into the LGDC or MGDC status categories requires submission of a portfolio for confidential review by GDC Manitoba standards officers. You may begin the application process by reviewing criteria and completing as applicable the submission requirements found online at www.gdc.net

The next deadline for submitting your portfolio for membership upgrade is Monday June 1, 2009.

Contact GDC Manitoba membership chair for more information, or if you have any questions.
