In preparation for Elevators 2014 we are looking for a volunteer to be our point person for the event. This is a new position, and would be given ample support by our board.

Four of our members will be at the National AGM, Josh, Marina, Cheryl and Ryan. I am sure they will have lots to report when they return!

Allan has been working in the Saskatchewan graphics and multimedia industry since 1995. All his life he has been trying to escape being labelled, with varying degrees of success.

Professionally he operates his freelance business in Saskatoon, Confidant Communications. Some days he makes e-books or does advanced programming for JavaScript, Flash, Haxe, or PHP. Other days he might be designing a logo or print piece, or writing and animating an educational cartoon. Allan currently serves as the Secretary and Ethics Chair for the GDC Sask. North chapter and he is thankful that the communications industry offers so many opportunities for creativity.

Personally he has been seen in the form of an athlete, Christian, valedictorian, musician, poet, comedian, artist, international adoption advocate, father, and husband. He has been happily married since 2004 and has four children. In his spare time he has been working on programming, authoring, and illustrating an interactive e-book of limericks.

Allan tries to remember the shortness of life and to treat every situation, whether professional or personal, as an opportunity for eternal value.
