Beijing Design week comes to Victoria
January 28, 2010

Did you miss out on Icograda World Design Congress last year in Beijing?

Mark Busse, Past BC GDC chapter President and Co-Chair of 2010 Icograda Design Week, will be sharing his experience with our chapter next week. He's also going to fill us in on Icograda Design Week coming to Vancouver in April. It is a rare opportunity to have the international design community in our back yard!

Mark is the Design Director at Industrial Brand and a design teacher at VFS. At the World Design Congress in Havana, Cuba he brought up the possibility of hosting a Design Week in Vancouver one day (be careful what you wish for). He represented GDC and Canadian design at various speaking engagements (four largest design schools) and hosted the opening of Graphex 2008 (which he was Chair of) in China while there for the World Design Congress in Beijing.

This event is sure to be entertaining!

Just a regular guy with a trajectory a little dirtier than yours, his talk is open to all oncomers brave enough to show up. If you are a youngster, you may find yourself inspired to attack your design future in a different way. If you are established, you may just leave feeling grateful you don't have anything to do with him. Hard to say. One night only, Vancouver!
