The Kid Belo
Growing up in a small town TheKidBelo (David Brunning) found he had a talent for drawing at an early age. Always drawing letters and words, TheKidBelo evolved into what he calls a graffiti writer naturally and considers words and letters to be his muse, his inspiration and the framework for his art. In 1999 he moved to Calgary and joined a larger community of graffiti artists.
TheKidBelo's clients include Holt Renfrew, Adidas, Henry Singer Fashion Group, Red Point Media, Snatch Rock n Roll Lounge, Art Central, Jerome Iginla and many more. His work was prominently featured in the highly successful "Art Under Pressure" Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Calgary in 2006.
He is one of Western Canada's premier visual artists currently residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. With his roots firmly planted in the graffiti art culture, he has kept the boundaries ever pressed by what he creates. His diversity is clearly displayed and his love for the creative process, other artists and those who have inspired him is clearly seen.
