User experience consultant Noah Iliinsky will review the fundamental factors that come into play when designing a diagram or other information visualization, including considerations of context, audience, and perception. Examples will include some uses and misuses of visualization to convey particular points of view. If time permits, Noah will offer informal feedback on current projects.

UX Design for the web is a hot topic, but far too often we find it too hard to pin down so we just touch the surface and don’t explore the depths. As it is becoming something of a de facto standard it is in our best interest as interactive designers to understand the discipline. No longer something that has to always be hugely complex and costly, we’ll cover the “back to basics” approach to UX design in this workshop. - May 07, 2010 6:00 pm - 10:00 pmLocation: Emily Carr University of Art + Design, 1399 Johnston Street, VancouverAre you feeling a little light-headed from the transcendence of Icograda Design Week?
