Women in Film & Television Survey
Women in Film & Television – Toronto (WIFT-T) is a not-for-profit professional organization that supports women in the screen-based industries—film & television production, film & television distribution, broadcasting and digital media—to build, advance, and sustain their careers nationally and internationally.

In 2004 WIFT-T conducted a groundbreaking study on employment trends in Canada's screen-based industries. Since 2004, technological developments, consolidation, and shifts in regulatory frameworks have altered the media landscape significantly. To determine the impact of these trends on the Canadian workforce, WIFT-T is undertaking a new study on employment trends, which will focus on who is working, how we are working and the participation of women, people from culturally-diverse backgrounds and persons with disabilities in the screen-based industries. This study will provide a crucial economic perspective on a key Canadian industry.

We at GDC are enthusiastic about the new study, the results of which will help us understand industry employment trends and assist us in creating programs and policies that will be beneficial to our members. One component of the study is a survey of companies and associations in graphic design. We ask and encourage you to participate in this survey.

You can complete the survey here

Your participation and answers to the survey will remain anonymous in all respects, and will be combined with the answers of others.

I hope you will take the time to participate. Highlights of the final report of the survey will be presented at the International Women in Digital Media Summit in October and will be available online through WIFT-T at www.wift.com shortly thereafter.
