The Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC) is Canada's only national association for professional graphic and communication designers. The GDC awards the designation of "CGD" (certified graphic designer) to those members who pass a rigorous portfolio review, agree to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics, and possess seven years of combined education and practical experience. The "CGD" designation is the mark of design quality and excellence in Canada.
