How do I become a certified professional member of the GDC?
Acceptance into the CGD membership categories requires a confidential portfolio/case studies review of your work by the Standards Officers of your local GDC Chapter. (For Member At Large applicant's portfolio/case studies are sent to any one of the nine local Chapters). Start your application process today by checking the date of your Chapter's next portfolio/case study review on the Chapter pages and completing the submission requirements form (found at http://www.gdc.net or from your chapter’s membership chair). Let your local Membership Chair know you are applying to ensure you don't miss the submission deadline.

- January 04, 2008Become a certified professional member of the GDC.
- If you do not live in geographical proximity to an existing GDC Chapter. You can still join as a GDC member.
- All members subscribe to the objectives, general goals and code of ethics of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
- January 03, 2008Membership in the GDC is open to Canadian citizens, residents of Canada or Canadian citizens working abroad.
- January 20, 2011The GDC has membership options for design students, Graphic Design Professionals and industry affiliates.
