How do I become a certified professional member of the GDC?
Acceptance into the CGD membership categories requires a confidential portfolio/case studies review of your work by the Standards Officers of your local GDC Chapter. (For Member At Large applicant's portfolio/case studies are sent to any one of the nine local Chapters). Start your application process today by checking the date of your Chapter's next portfolio/case study review on the Chapter pages and completing the submission requirements form (found at http://www.gdc.net or from your chapter’s membership chair). Let your local Membership Chair know you are applying to ensure you don't miss the submission deadline.

If you do not live in geographical proximity to an existing GDC Chapter. You can still join as a GDC member.
All members subscribe to the objectives, general goals and code of ethics of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada.
January 03, 2008Membership in the GDC is open to Canadian citizens, residents of Canada or Canadian citizens working abroad.
January 20, 2011The GDC has membership options for design students, Graphic Design Professionals and industry affiliates.
