Design-A-Thon is taking place June 12-13 at Mount Royal University.
Volunteer creatives will be needed to help local charities – watch for the announcements coming soon.
GDC Design-A-Thon is a creative marathon, a 24-hour surge of creative electricity that benefits Southern Alberta not-for-profit organizations, a design ’til dawn, write all night, draw ’til you drop creative stew.
Revved up on a potent mix of enthusiasm, inspiration and caffeine, dedicated teams of Calgary’s best creative types tackle a variety of pro-bono projects, ranging from identity design to marketing tools and website design.

At the helm of each project team will be one of the city’s most talented and respected Creative Directors.
This is the fifth time this event has been staged. Over the years many volunteer creative professionals have participated in GDC Design-A-Thon to the benefit of local charities.
This year’s Design-A-Thon will take place on June 12 at Mount Royal University and the dizzying process of creative development won’t let up until 24 hours later when each team’s creations are revealed to the clients and guests.
Design-A-Thon is an innovative way for Calgary’s community to make a positive contribution to our community. All of the time for creative development and art production will be donated.
