Digital Tableau – The Art and Craft of Digital Media, Banff Centre, Banff

This is a hands-on digital workshop at The Banff Centre in February. Guest speakers include Rich McKain from Pixar Animation Studios. McKain is a Calgary native who will get into the nuts and bolts of the 3D animation process.

GDC members pay member rates, and registration's taken up until it's full.

Speaker Series@ACAD: TheKidBelo, ACAD, Calgary

Always drawing letters and words, TheKidBelo evolved into what he calls a graffiti writer naturally and considers words and letters to be his muse, his inspiration and the framework for his art. In 1999 he moved to Calgary and joined a larger community of graffiti artists.

TheKidBelo's clients include Holt Renfrew, Adidas, Henry Singer Fashion Group, Red Point Media, Snatch Rock n Roll Lounge, Art Central, Jerome Iginla and many more. His work was prominently featured in the highly successful "Art Under Pressure" Exhibition at the Art Gallery of Calgary in 2006.
