Every post-secondary design institution in Atlantic Canada that has a design program can elect a GDC Student member, in good standing, as the Student Representative for their school.
The Student Representative works with the Education Chair and the Membership Chair to:
-
maintain communications between GDC Atlantic, design students and educators at Atlantic Canadian post-secondary design institutions;
-
work with, encourage and support GDC Student committees;
-
organize student events and programs;
-
advise the Executive on issues impacting design students;
-
work with the Events Committee to produce student-focused events;
-
help to coordinate student volunteers for ongoing chapter activities.
