Hot on the heels of a busy Design Week Vancouver, GDC/BC and Metropolitan Fine Printers are proud to present the 2010 Salazar Awards, celebrating the talent of BC's next generation of communication designers.
Join students and professional designers for the awards ceremony on Friday, May 7th, and hear special guest speaker Jeff Barlow, designer & owner of Jelvetica and President of AIGA Seattle, give his talk titled "Design = Rock and Roll (I can prove it)".

This year's submission deadline has been extended until NOON, Thursday, May 6th, so you still have a few days to gather your best brand identity, print, web or interactive/motion design projects from this year and enter to WIN MONEY in recognition of your design talent.

One day while transcribing "I am the Walrus" to play on his guitar, Jeff discovered something powerful: That Rock and Roll and Design are overlapped in so many ways that they're practically the same thing. There's pattern, repetition, structure, refinement, and the power to change the world.
