Icograda Design Congress 2009

Top 3 reasons for you to come to Xin: Icograda World Design Congress 2009 in Beijing, China

From 24-30 October 2009, the global communication design community will gather in Beijing, China for the 2009 Icograda Design Congress. The GDC has a long and respected history as an Icograda member. Did you know that:
- when the GDC joined Icograda in 1973, it became the first non-European member of the organisation;
- all three Canadian Icograda President's are GDC members: Walter Jungkind, Jorge Frascara and Robert L. Peters;
- Montreal is only the fourth location for the Icograda Secretariat in its almost 50 year history?

We want to see as many GDC members join us in Beijing this year, which opens on United Nations Day. Here are 3 reasons you should join us:

1. October 26 keynotes will take place in the National Opera House (aka ‘The Egg’). See Sol Sender talk about shaping the Obama campaign identity in this architectural wonder.

2. What’s it like to design a graphic design museum? The team from LUST will share their stories.

3. We’ll kick off the countdown to Design Currency: Icograda Design Week in Vancouver!

So be part of the GDC delegation to Beijing! We need 10 people to qualify the group rate and if you reply today, we'll also be able to take advantage of the early bird discount as well. Email to let us know if you want to be part of our group.
