When it gets to eight degrees above zero in January, thoughts at GDC Manitoba headquarters begin to veer to a little spring cleaning. Crazy but true. Read on, as details on some important upcoming events are laid bare as the streets this winter (so far).
January 23: GDC Manitoba Next Portfolio Review Submission Deadline
This is your next opportunity to gain professional status in Canada’s leading graphic design organization, and be recognized as a Certified Graphic Designer (CGD). Acceptance requires the submission of your portfolio for a confidential review by GDC Manitoba standards officers.
The deadline for submitting portfolios for membership upgrade is Monday, January 23 by close of business at Blue Moon Graphics (2-161 Stafford Street). Results of the review will be announced on or about Monday, January 30.

January 25: GDC Manitoba Annual General Meeting
Item! All members, friends and interested parties wishing and wanting to know more are warmly welcomed to join us at our chapter Annual General Meeting. And we need spectators, as your exec lay out plans and goals for the year to come. It's a primo opportunity to meet, mingle, talk design and discuss all things GDC. There'll be music, refreshments and prizes to boot.

February 23: The Return of PechaKucha!
Save the date! GDC Manitoba returns for another stellar season of PechaKucha Nights in Winnipeg. Our next event, and first of the new year, will be held at the Park Theatre on Thursday February 23. Start lining up soon! More details to come as they are finalized.
