Valerie Elliott CGD, CERT PR
A sustainable communication designer and engagement strategist, Valerie Elliott has a passion for protecting the environment. She developed and coordinated the 2001 GDC DesignCares Travelling Forum and Exhibit that traveled the globe and was later appointed to advise the BC Government on how to encourage individual participation for climate action initiatives.
Valerie helps businesses and not-for-profit organizations to recognize the value of sustainable communication solutions in business positioning. She is the National Sustainability Committee Chair for the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada; is an appointed juror for the Icograda Sustainability Standards; and is a member of the Ethics Practitioners Association of Canada.
While not working, Valerie makes paints and plasters for her 1914 home and creates valuable habitat areas for various insect species.
