Receiving the CGD certification mark is an important milestone for any Canadian graphic designer, and GDC Manitoba encourages its members to go for it. To that end, a Portfolio Review Workshop will be held at Manoverboard, 308 Morley Ave. (shown above, photo courtesy of Manoverboard). Local CGD-certified members will advise members on a one-to-one basis on how to prepare a portfolio that will meet the criteria for the certification process.
This workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on June 28, 2014. Please contact Membership & Education Chair Carson Samson CGD to confirm your attendance and to learn further details.

A gentle reminder to all CGD certified members: let’s all update our profiles on gdc.net. The new website looks great but we are each responsible for uploading case studies and profile pictures so that when viewers click the Find A Designer page, they don't see a sea of grey circles.
GDC held its National Annual General Meeting in Ottawa June 5 to 7 this year. Our chapter sent three representatives: Chapter President Adrian Shum CGD, Chapter Vice-President Andrew Boardman CGD and our Education and Membership Chair Carson Samson CGD.
