Print Design: Spotted in #YEG

Who does’t love letterpress! Even people who have never seen a letterpress before love the products that they’ve come in contact with. The paper, the embossment, the tactility… oh my.

For this month’s local feature, I’m very excited to talk about Uppercase Press. Owning and operating my own letterpress is a dream so it’s an honour to share a local studio with you that does just that.

About Uppercase
Uppercase Press is a letterpress studio that opened their shop in Edmonton in 2012. They specialize in custom stationary that includes wedding invitations, baby announcements, special prints and cards for every occasion, all which is printed on their tabletop press. They have a great little online shop full of goodies showcasing the unique quality that you get from a letterpress. They’ve been busy gracing Edmonton’s craft fairs with their lovely products so make sure to check out their Instagram for a sneak peak.

If you’ve never had the chance to work with a letterpress, I strongly suggest signing up for a workshop. Make sure to contact Uppercase Press to find out when their next 3-hour workshop is. You’ll have a tone of fun, pick up some new skills and learn to appreciate the process of printing with a tabletop letterpress.

It’s great being able to support our creative communities in Northern Alberta. Make sure to check out Uppercase Press online to see all the great things they’ve been up to and make sure to keep an eye out for next’s months local feature on agency life!
